If you are reading the latest copy of WINE Magazine, we encourage you to take a look at the massive Cabernet Sauvignon ratings section.
If you don’t have the edition, then we’ll just let you know what’s in there anyway!
After tasting over 180 South African Cabernet’s, WINE magazine rated the Dombeya Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 as the equal best Cab in South Africa.
What’s more, it was also the best value for money wine amongst the five candidates awarded 4.5 stars, the highest rating given to any wine in this tasting.
And to put one final exclamation mark on the matter, it only costs 85 rand from cellar door, or from the Dombeya website.
This recognition continues the outstanding form of Dombeya wines when being independently assessed at wine shows and by leading publications and critics. For a full account of the individual accolades of each wine, check out the ‘Wines’ section of the Dombeya website.
(Please note that the Dombeya Cabernet has since been discontinued)
